Brewery description
Brouwerij Westmalle, near Zoersel in Belgium's Antwerp province, is the Trappist brewery of the Abbey of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. Since 1836, its monks have brewed beers famed for balance, depth and quiet restraint, especially the influential Westmalle Dubbel and Tripel. The brewery supports monastic life and charity, and welcomes beer lovers to taste its legacy at the nearby Cafe Trappisten.
